1.8 When making multiple bookings, deposits are required for each one of them. One deposit doesn’t cover all bookings

1.9 In the event that your dog needs veterinary care, we will reach out to your designated emergency contact to arrange for their transportation. Should your emergency contact be unavailable to take your dog to the vet, we will need to charge a fee for our time and fuel if we transport them ourselves. Additionally, you will be responsible for covering any veterinary expenses incurred.

1.10 For every 15 minutes over your allocated time slot, £5.00 (per dog) will be charged to you as this can cause inconvenience and potential overlap with other appointments.

1.11 When booking with us, you agree that if you should need to shorten your booking or return from holiday early, you will not be entitled to any refund. This also applies to deposits for future bookings.

1.12 If no deposit is received, Canine Comforts reserve the right to refuse your dog and will contact you to inform you of this.

1.13 If your dog is aggressive or bites during its stay, it will be moved to a kennel and a transfer fee of £30 will be payable by yourself upon your return. There will be no refund of the boarding fees you have paid to Canine Comforts and any additional fees charged by the kennels will be payable by you.

1.22 Any missed appointments without notice will incur a charge and will be added onto your next booking.

DOGS

2.1 Males will only be accepted if they have been neutered.

2.2 Female dogs will not be accepted if they are due to be on heat for the stay or are bleeding when dropped off. From being on heat, they cannot be boarded for at least 10 days after bleeding has stopped. Obviously these circumstances cannot be fully predicted, so if a female comes on heat during her stay, we will take precautions but we cannot be held responsible should she become pregnant.

2.3 All dogs need to be treated for fleas and worms regularly and should be covered for the period in which they are here. If they need a flea treatment whilst staying witth us, please send it with them and we will administer it. If a dog is found to have fleas on its arrival, we will treat the animal and you will be billed for the cost of that treatment and the cost of treating any other animals that are in at the same time.

2.4 If your dog becomes unwell while in our care, we will first attempt to contact you for guidance. If we are unable to reach you, as you may be on holiday, we will notify your emergency contact. They will be responsible for providing any necessary medication or, if veterinary attention is required, taking your dog to your designated vet. As we typically operate at full capacity, we are unable to leave the premises to transport pets to the vet ourselves unless it is an emergency and you will be responsible for all vets fees. We would recommend that all dogs are insured because of this. If minor issues arise during your dog’s stay—such as fleas, worms, or minor skin abrasions—and we treat them using our own medications (e.g. spot-on treatments, antiseptics, etc.), a fee will apply based on the type of medication used.

2.5 If your dog has a pre-existing condition that requires veterinary attention while in our care, you will need to make arrangements for someone to transport your dog to and from the veterinary clinic. If your designated contact is unavailable during your dog's stay, we will reach out to your emergency contact. In the event that neither can assist, we can provide transportation; however, there will be a charge for our time, fuel, and any veterinary expenses incurred.

2.6 You must confirm that your dog has no record of anti-behaviour. You must make a full and frank disclosure of any characteristic or trait that might make your dog unsuitable for socialising with other dogs or people. If your dog does show signs of any unacceptable behaviour, you will be notified and made aware of the possible outcomes.
2.7 If your dog is deemed unsuitable by us, we reserve the right to cancel the booking indefinitely, with immediate effect.
2.8 You agree to pay the cost of any damage caused by your dog(s) to Canine Comforts home/property.

2.9 The clients dog may be transported with other dogs in Jayne Walsh’s car. The client agrees that Canine Comforts cannot be held liable for death or injury to their dog in the event of a motor vehicle accident.
2.10 Consent should be given by the client for their dog being in a home Boarding situation with other dogs.
2.11 Canine Comforts will not accept responsibility for the death, injury or illness of your dog. You are strongly advised to insure your pet for all eventualities.

2.12 If your dog comes to us with a recent condition or injury, we will do our best to prevent it progressing further without putting it into isolation, however we cannot be held responsible if an injury/condition worsens due to the nature of the environment with other dogs playing etc.

2.13 If your dog has had a recent injury, condition or operation close to your upcoming holiday and we deem it not suitable to stay with us, we do have the right to cancel your booking. We would recommend that you let us know as soon as possible of any new conditions, injuries or operations where you would have to bring your dog to us so we can evaluate their conidition and see if we can accept them or not. We advise that you do this as early as you can incase you need to make alternative arrangments.
2.14 All dogs must have up to date vaccinations. If you fail to show proof of vaccination on the day of a meet and greet, trial run or boarding, you will lose payment for that stay. We cannot reserve dates if your dog is unvaccinated, even if you have paid a deposit, as all customers are made aware beforehand that it is mandatory.
2.15 Even though it is not mandatory of our license, we do recommend for you to get your dog vaccinated against kennel cough as we cannot be responsible if your dog develops a cough whilst on its stay with us.
2.16 You agree to allow Canine Comforts Dog Boarding to take photos and videos of your dog(s) and post to official Canine Comforts Dog Boarding page on Facebook, Instagram or google business page.

2.17 You agree that your dog can socialise with other dogs in our garden/house that are boarding with us.

2.18 If it has been more than 3 years since your dog last stayed with us and you want to board them with us again, please note that we will need to conduct another trial night. This is necessary because over time, behaviours can change, and we want to ensure that your dog is comfortable during their stay along with being familiarised with our facilities after an extended absence.
PAPERWORK

3.1 All information requested on the registration form must be completed. If information is missing, we reserve the right not to accept your dog.

3.2 A valid vaccination card HAS to be seen for ALL dogs either before, or on the day that they arrive. If a vaccination card isn’t seen or the vaccinations are not up to date you will be turned away and you will lose your deposit.

3.3 If someone is dropping the dog(s) off on the owners behalf, they are responsible for filling all forms in and accepting the terms and conditions on the owners part.
FOOD, BEDDING & OTHER ITEMS

4.1 when you bring your dog, please bring their usual food, otherwise a change of diet can cause an upset stomach which we cannot be responsible for. Details of your dogs diet is required on the registration form and we will use this as a guide for feeding during your dogs stay.

4.2 Please bring blankets or bedding that smells of your home as this helps settle dogs during their stay. If your dog is crate trained, please just bring the cage and let us know your dogs routine with it.

4.3 when picking your dog up, it’s your responsibility to make sure that all of your dogs belongings are together and that nothing is missing. If any of your dogs belongings are left behind, they must be picked up within two weeks.

4.4 Canine Comforts will not be held responsible for any damages to your dogs belongings. There will most likely be other dogs staying with us throughout your dogs stay which can include puppies that could chew. Even though it’s very unlikely, we still always try to do our best to stop this, but please be open to the possibility. We advise you to bring items that you are not concerned about being damaged. This includes toys, bedding etc.

4.5 It is mandatory that all dogs must have name tags on their collars with your contact details and their name.

4.6 All dogs must have harnesses. We do not walk dogs just on their collars, so if no harness is brought, we unfortunately cannot walk them during their stay.
DROP OFF AND PICK UP
5.1 All customers should stick to allocated times as Canine Comforts do dog walking in between and may not be home.

5.2 Pick up times in the morning are between 10am – 12pm. After that time, it will go into Doggy Day care and you will be charged for an extra day.

5.3 Canine Comforts are closed to the public between these times and before 10am and after
6pm

5.4 We do not open for drop offs/pick ups on specific days during holiday periods. These include Christmas Eve, Christmas day, Boxing day, New Years Eve, New Years day, Easter Day and any bank holidays. Customers who intend to drop off their dog(s) on these days will need to do so on the previous night. This allows us to effectively manage our schedule and accommodate the needs of your dogs under our care during these periods.

MEET AND GREET

6.1 A £10 deposit is required to book a meet and greet appointment with us. This will be refunded to you when you arrive for your booking.

6.2 If you do not attend the meet and greet, you will lose the £10 deposit. If you cannot make the appointment and let us know 24 hours prior, you can transfer the deposit onto another day/time.

6.3 If you are required to pay for a booking to reserve dates prior to the meet and greet, and for whatever reason on the appointment we cannot board your dog or you are not happy with our services, you will be refunded the payment back. After the meet and greet, your payment is secured with us and you will not be able to get a refund if you decide to not board your dog with us - this should have been decided on the day of appointment.

6.4 You are required to bring your dog on the meet and greet. If you fail to bring your dog, we cannot proceed with the appointment and you will lose your £10 deposit.
